The Town Plan Commission meets the first Tuesday of every month at the Town Hall at 7:30 PM.

We are under Walworth County Zoning. Please contact the inspector for any building project
you may undertake. Building permits are required for any and all alterations, repairs, and
remodeling including decks and piers.

The Town Covers 4 School Districts and 3 different phone companies. Most of the Lauderdale
Lake area is serviced by State Long Distance Telephone Company located in Elkhorn. The
number there is (262)723-5300.

| Burning Permits |
|
A burning permit must be obtained for any burning other than in a covered trash burner. They are free
and are most readily available at the LaGrange General Store located at the intersection of CTH H
and STH 12 (262 495-8600) or from any member of the Fire Department.

| Compost Site |
|
The town compost site is also available from April-October on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for
disposal of leaves, branches, etc. and is for use by residents (property owners) of the Town of
LaGrange and the Town of Sugar Creek only. Commercial landscape services and residents from other
areas are charged for its use and can be fined. Contact any Town Board member for further
