MINUTES OF REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING LAGRANGE TOWN BOARD November 8, 2004 The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town of LaGrange was called to order by Chairman Heilmeier at 7:30 p.m. A moment of silence was observed for Jamie Sendt. Chairman Heilmeier, Supervisor Callaway, Supervisor Sukala, Supervisor Lohrmann and Supervisor Taylor were present. Crystal Hoffmann, Clerk/Treasurer and Elizabeth Adelmann, Town Attorney were also present. The minutes of October 11, 2004 were approved as presented (Taylor/Callaway). Treasurer’s report was given and accepted as presented. Approval of the agenda (Sukala/Lohrmann) Committee Reports a. Buildings and Highways – no meeting b. Safety committee- no meeting c. Lake Management – no meeting d. Finance and Personnel committee – no meeting e. Information committee – no meeting Planning and Zoning a. Farm land separation for Edna Bethke Revocable Trust, W6170 Territorial Road—typical farmland separation, plan and zoning approved as presented. Motion to approve as presented (Callaway/Taylor) Motion carries. Response to Walworth County regarding County wide zoning—Motion to accept Walworth County Zoning as is and stay with the County for the Town of LaGrange’s zoning (Callaway/Sukala). Motion carries. Discussion of John’s disposal regarding the new containers trial—much discussion, overall feel new containers are working well, will invite Brian to be present at the December meeting when the final decision will be made. Pier permit request for Roger and Sharon Kuhnke off West Shore Drive—replaced an existing pier without obtaining a permit, pier is mainly used for fishing. Motion to approve subject to DNR approval. (Taylor/Sukala) Motion carries. Motion to restrict mooring facilities to ONE (Callaway/Sukala) Callaway, Sukala, Lohrmann, Taylor all aye, Heilmeier-nay. Motion carries. Extending 90 day time period an additional 120 days for the Smith/Wright subdivision plat—much discussion. Motion to approve extension (Lohrmann/Taylor) Motion carries.Motion to approve extension (Lohrmann/Taylor) Motion carries. Contract with Equity Appraisal for a re-valuation—doesn’t include when will be finished, and doesn’t guarantee 100-105%. Attorney Adelman will make corrections and have ready for December’s meeting. Proposed amendment to Ordinance No. 012001, An Ordinance to regulate water traffic, boating and water sports upon the waters of Lauderdale Lakes, Walworth County, Wisconsin, concerning tubing behind boats—committee has approved, waiting for information from Joel. Motion to table (Lohrmann/Taylor) Motion carries. Amendment to Dog ordinance to include a section on dog litter—Motion to approve (Lohrmann/Sukala) Motion carries.
