MINUTES OF REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING LAGRANGE TOWN BOARD November 9, 2009 The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town of LaGrange was called to order by Chairman Taylor. Chairman Taylor, Supervisor Sukala, Supervisor Callaway and Supervisor Schramm were present. Crystal Hoffmann, Clerk/Treasurer was also present. Supervisor Bromley was absent. The Agenda will include: Approval of Minutes October 12, 2009 meeting (Sukala/Schramm) Treasurer Report—accepted as read Approval of Agenda—Motion to approve the agenda (Schramm/Sukala) with moving items 10 and 11 under Lakes Management Committee Reports, if any from: a. Buildings and Highways—no meeting b. Safety—Officer Otterbacher present with update from Walworth County Sheriff Department, starting to see increase in computer crimes, don’t fall for internet scams c. Lake Management Districts' Reports i. Clean boats & clean waters—presentation by Pete Van Kampen from LLMD, looking for $2000 in support of program from the Town, do intend to apply for a grant ii. Lakes ordinance inspector update—presentation by Pete Van Kampen from LLLMD, Howard property at N7460 Arrowhead Road very large pier, doesn’t match survey on file from 2007—not incompliance with ordinance; Balestrieri property; Mil Ovan also; need to be agenda items so can act on them, inform owners of violation and ask them to fix it d. Finance & Personnel—no meeting e. Information committee—no meeting Planning and Zoning Commission—no meeting Replacing/upgrading culvert at Sterlingworth boat launch—the culvert is in need of repair or replacement, nothing is necessary to do right now, as the system is currently functioning, the Town will look at options and come up with a plan on what needs to be done to fix the problem, need to find out who owns the pipe and who did the replacement/repair in 1994 Aerator permit request for Doug Behrens, Pleasant Lake District, at the drain, Motion to approve aerator permit for Pleasant Lake Pro and Rehab, Doug Behrens, at the drain (Callaway/Schramm) Motion carries. Request to adjust the road right-of-way at N7491 Country Club Drive, Bart Jacobson—applicant requested removal prior to meeting Approval of the ordinance to change the speed limit on Greening Road from 55 MPH to 45 MPH—Motion to approve (Schramm/Callaway) Motion carries 3-1, Sukala, Callaway, Schramm-Aye, Taylor-Nay Reviewing the wording regarding pier dimensions in the pier ordinance—the Town’s ordinance states the DECK shall not be wider than 5’, “Grandfathered” piers on Lauderdale Lakes, in respect to the 2007 pier survey—nothing extra was grandfathered by filling out the survey Update on investigation regarding the April 05 election—nothing new to report Approval of bills properly submitted for payment—Motion to approve bills presented for payment (Sukala/Schramm) Motion made to adjourn at 8:58 p.m. (Callaway/Schramm) Motion carries.
