MINUTES OF REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING LAGRANGE TOWN BOARD December 10, 2007 The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town of LaGrange was called to order by Chairman Taylor. Supervisor Bromley, Supervisor Sukala, Supervisor Callaway, and Supervisor Schramm were all present. Crystal Hoffmann, Clerk/Treasurer and Elizabeth Adelman, Town Attorney were also present. The minutes of November 12, 2007 were approved as presented (Sukala/Schramm) Treasurer’s report accepted as presented The agenda with addenda and moving addenda up to #10 on the agenda (Bromley/Sukala) Committee Reports: a. Buildings and Highways: no meeting b. Safety committee: no meeting c. Lake Management Districts: nothing to report d. Finance and Personnel: no meeting e. Information committee: no meeting Planning and Zoning: a. Variance for Storandt, N7446 Arrowhead Lane—Plan and Zone recommends approval as the variance is needed due to official error, Motion to approve as presented (Bromley/Callaway) Motion carries. b. CSM for Balestrieri combining two lots into one, Plan and zone recommends approval, Motion to approve (Bromley/Schramm) Motion carries. c. Population and employment projections—How much area do we want to use/allow for new houses? Will hold a special meeting to discuss d. Smart Growth—see letter c. Ken Pies, W5539 Oak Park Road pier—rebuild or repair? Replaced over what ordinance allows, the “L” on the pier is in gross violation of the ordinance, Motion for pier ordinance to be enforced, stop work order issued until the “L” is brought into compliance, if stop work order is not abided by then further enforcement efforts forthwith. Have to have done by January 1, 2008 or fines will be issued (Bromley/Callaway) Motion carries. Lights for parking lot—Don checked with WE Energies, WE Energies is two weeks behind, Don will keep working on Updating 911 maps, there is money in the budget to go ahead and order updated maps Aerator permit for W5442 Solid Comfort Drive—will be well marked according to the ordinance, owner does not want to pull his piers, Motion to approve (Bromley/Sukala) Motion carries. Town Beach project—Agreements ready for signatures, Town will incur all engineering fees, estimated to amount to $10,000-$12,000, Motion to approve (Callaway/Bromley) Motion carries. Agreement for Big Spring Drive with Crispell-Snyder—From Bluff Road to County Line, Engineering fees estimated to be $15,000-$17,000 and soil borings should be $2,800, Motion to accept agreement for engineering fees and soil borings (Callaway/Schramm) Motion carries. Moving monies within the 2007 budget to cover expenses—Motion to approve (Bromley/Schramm) Motion carries. Building code ordinance violations—Building inspector to bring to Town Board the Town Board can authorize further action Water traffic boating ordinance—ordinance was sent to Warden Bronikowski by mistake, should have gone to Head of DNR in Madison, will send back to Safety Committee for review again and then bring back to Town Board Appointment of new Plan and Zone Commission member—Vern Greenquist has resigned his position, Motion to appoint Dan Wilson to committee subject to his filling out a new application for such committee (Bromley/Callaway) Motion carries. April 2005 election—getting voice mail Payment of bills submitted for approval—Motion to pay bills submitted (Bromley/Schramm) Motion carries.
