MINUTES OF REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING LAGRANGE TOWN BOARD December 11, 2006 The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town of LaGrange was called to order by Chairman Taylor. Supervisor Bromley, Supervisor Sukala, Supervisor Lohrmann, and Supervisor Schramm were all present. Crystal Hoffmann, Clerk/Treasurer and Elizabeth Adelman, Town Attorney were also present. The minutes of November 13, 2006 were approved as presented (Sukala/Schramm) Treasurer’s report was accepted as presented. The agenda was approved with addenda(Schramm/Bromley) Motion carries Committee Reports: a. Buildings and Highways: no meeting held b. Safety committee: no meeting c. Lake Management Districts: nothing to report d. Finance and Personnel: no meeting e. Information committee: no meeting Planning and Zoning: a. Rezone request on Lawton property to change from C-2 to A-1—Petitioners are asking the Town Board to put in the request of the rezone from C-2 to A-1 to Walworth County, much discussion ensued, Motion to refer back to Plan and Zone to hold a public hearing and then make a recommendation to the Town Board (Bromley/Schramm) Motion carries. b. Concept presentation for a conservation subdivision on the Lawton property on Highway H—plan presented, current zoning is C-2, allows for 12 units, no board action necessary c. Walk through done on Lawton property d. Review of land classifications—working on, making refinements, maybe ready to present in January Gifting of Knuteson Drive to the Town—paperwork presented by Jerry Knuteson, Motion to accept road contingent upon receiving proof of clear title (Schramm/Sukala) Motion carries. Increase in driveway permit charge—current is $20 for driveway and $30 for address (fire number), suggest increase in charge for addresses due to new style sign, Motion to increase address charge to $60 for all new addresses (Schramm/Lohrmann) Motion carries. Request to vacate a part of Lake Road for Sandi Scherschel—Municipality can not vacate any road or anything that can be seen/used as access to the lake without DNR approval. Has to go to DNR, no action necessary Moving monies within the 2006 budget to cover expenses—Motion to move monies within the 2006 budget to cover expenses (Bromley/Schramm) Motion carries. Pay increases for Town employees—Motion to increase highway department wages by 3 ½% (Sukala/Schramm), Motion to increase clerk/treasurer wage 10% for increase in hours and 3 ½% standard increase (Sukala/Schramm) Motion carries. Motion to also have increases start on January 1 of each year (Schramm/Lohrmann) Motion carries. April 2005 election investigation—nothing new to report Appointment of election workers—Elizabeth Sukala, Shirley Taylor, Barb Taylor, Sylvia Baker, Bobbi Bennett, and Jane Kwasinski—Motion to approve (Lohrmann/Schramm) Motion carries. Payment of bills properly submitted for payment—Sukala/Schramm—Motion carries Motion to go into closed session—roll call vote: Schramm-aye, Lohrmann-aye, Sukala-aye, Bromley-aye, Taylor-aye. Motion to resume in open session—Lohrmann/Sukala Motion to pay Strand and Associates $13,500 for engineering fees with regards to the boat house fire/rebuilding—Schramm/Sukala, motion carries.
