MINUTES OF REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING LAGRANGE TOWN BOARD April 13, 2009 The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town of LaGrange was called to order by Chairman Taylor. Chairman Taylor, Supervisor Bromley, Supervisor Sukala, Supervisor Callaway and Supervisor Schramm were present. Crystal Hoffmann, Clerk/Treasurer was also present. The minutes of March 9, 2009 were approved as presented (Bromley/Sukala) Treasurer’s report, accepted as read. The agenda was approved with addenda (Bromley/Schramm) Committee Reports: a. Buildings and Highways: no meeting b. Safety committee: no meeting c. Lake Management Districts: special meeting will be held for LLMD at the golf course to move on the culvert bids on Saturday d. Finance and Personnel: nothing to report e. Information committee: finalizing newsletter Plan and Zone a. Request for a second driveway for Phillip Durbin, W5531 Baywood Drive, Elkhorn—very steep driveway, slid down last year, would be for winter parking, Motion to approve second driveway (Bromley/Sukala) Motion carries. b. Request to rebuild a deck that extends into the roadside right-of-way for Steve Chester, W5458 Westshore Drive, Elkhorn—no show—tabled c. Review zoning uses and their designations as principal vs. conditional use and sending recommendations to Walworth county zoning agency—Plan and zoning reviewed, Motion to adopt plan and zoning recommendations and send to Walworth County for their deliberations (Bromley/Schramm) Motion carries. Approval of the Ordinance to Repeal and recreate Ord. no: 2007-006 concerning building codes for the Town of LaGrange—needed to re-create the ordinance to go along with the new building fees, Motion to repeal and recreate the ordinance (Bromley/Callaway) Motion carries. Approval of the Ordinance to Repeal and recreate Ord. no:2007-09 concerning damage to Town property caused by construction and assured building completion to establish different bond amounts for projects pertaining to Town and/or non-Town roads—changes the amounts collected for Town roads vs. non-Town roads, Motion to approve ordinance (Bromley/Callaway) Motion carries. Setting the date for Board of Review—earliest can hold is Monday, May 11, 2009, Motion to hold the annual Board of Review on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (Bromley/Schramm) Motion carries. April 2005 election—Rick has gotten some progress. Payment of bills submitted for approval—Motion to pay bills submitted (Bromley/Schramm) Motion carries.
